1. About Novelmaps and Copyright

Novelmaps is a book discovery and availability service. We do not host, publish, sell, or distribute books. The site displays publicly available book metadata — such as titles, author names, genres, descriptions, and cover images — for the purpose of helping users discover books and find where they may be available on third-party reading platforms.

If you believe that any content displayed on Novelmaps infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown request as described below.

2. How to Submit a Takedown Request

If you are a copyright owner (or authorized to act on behalf of one), you may request removal of infringing content by sending a written notice to:

Your notice should include the following information:

• A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
• The specific URL(s) on Novelmaps where the allegedly infringing content is located
• Your name and contact information (email address and, if available, mailing address and phone number)
• A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf
• Your physical or electronic signature

3. What Happens After a Takedown Request

Upon receiving a valid takedown request, we will:

• Review the request in a reasonable timeframe
• Remove or disable access to the content identified in the request, if we determine the request is valid
• Make a good faith effort to notify the user who submitted the content, if applicable

4. Counter-Notice

If you believe content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice to support@novelmaps.com with the following:

• Identification of the content that was removed and the URL where it appeared
• Your name, contact information, and physical or electronic signature
• A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the content was removed by mistake or misidentification
• A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts in Germany for the purpose of resolving the dispute

Upon receiving a valid counter-notice, we may restore the content unless the original complainant takes further legal action.

5. Repeat Infringers

Novelmaps reserves the right to remove any content and take appropriate action against users who repeatedly submit infringing content.

6. No Piracy

Novelmaps does not tolerate piracy. We do not accept submissions that link to pirated, unauthorized, or illegally hosted copies of copyrighted works. Any such submissions will be rejected and removed.

7. Good Faith

This policy is intended to protect the rights of copyright owners while maintaining a fair and useful book discovery service. We act in good faith and encourage all parties to do the same.
