“Don’t come any closer.” His voice was low and sharp, nothing like the boy I remembered, I should have listened, I should have turned around and walked away, Instead, I looked at him. The leather jacket, the bike behind him, the tattoos I didn’t recognize. Only his eyes were the same, dark and familiar, like they’d been waiting for me. “It’s me,” I said quietly. His jaw tightened, and for a second, something dangerous flickered across his face. “That’s exactly why you shouldn’t be here.” I never meant to find him, I never expected him to be like this. He keeps his distance, but his silence says more than words ever could. Every look feels like a warning. Every moment near him feels like a mistake I don’t know how to stop making.
